By, the way, this is a true story. It happened about five years ago and this is how it all starts. A 12 year old boy called Callum was walking with his friend Alex. They had just been walking back from school, and were heading towards the Woodland Park to play football. The park was unusually quiet and they realised that they were the only people there. They both decided to save the game for another time, as it was getting dark.
Something stopped them in their tracks. There, before them stood the House of Bromley. The house had been very rarely spoken about by people because of it’s dark secrets. There had been people who had gone into the house and then were never seen again. Callum began to edge towards the crooked, bark door. He knew he wanted to go back but the house intrigued him. “What do you think you’re doing?,” said Alex who was just watching his friend.
“I’m going to go and see what it’s like,” and with that he jolted the door handle and waited for it to open. It was locked. Then, suddenly the door creaked open almost inviting them in.
Callum stepped into the dark followed by Alex who was shaking all over. They were now in the narrow corridor leading to different rooms and passageways. “Alex, this is…..” Alex was no longer there. Callum called his name several times, but there was no answer. There was a dark shape approaching in the background and there were footsteps pounding on the wooden floor. Callum quickly turned round, to find Alex in rage. He pointed a sharp dagger towards Callum’s throat and lunged forward.
