Orange

Nothing rhymes with orange,
Orange,
Orange,
Orange.
People make up silly words.
Torange,
Porange,
Dorange.
This is why we like orange,
Orange,
Orange,
Orange.

Winter Weather

By Kiran Dhillon

 The Snow is coming
Gently drifting
Covering everything in white

The Rain is coming
Spluttering and Splattering
Leaving the dark grey sky

The Sun is shining
Slowly brightening
Giving it’s warmth to us!

The Teenager

By Simran Sekhon

Abbie was a 16 year old normal teenager with an ordinary life. But what happened changed her life forever.
Abbie was watching TV and saw an extraordinary ad which was giving a chance to teens to audition for a fantastic movie called Could it be you which was due to release next year. She was excited as anyone because she knew she was pretty. She had blonde curls and long clean nails also pearly white teeth. The ad said that they had to post a video of their audition. She started straight away but had to ask permission from her mum and Abbie knew how hard that was.
When her mum came home she waited for her mum to get into a good mood. Then Abbie said “mum you know that ad on TV about the auditions”. “yes” said mum. “Well I was wondering how about I audition for the movie,” said Abbie. “what you audition for a movie yeah right you must be mad” said mum. “oh come on please” said Abbie. “Well don’t ask me ask your dad he’s in the living room” said mum. “Dad do you think I could post an I don’t know maybe an audition for could it be you” said Abbie hopefully. “absolutely not what do you think I let you be spoilt” shouts dad. ”But dad” cries Abbie
“Go to your room now Abbie” shouts dad! “Fine I will” shouts back Abbie.
When Abbie goes to her room she decides that it’s time she runs away from home for good…
20 years later

Me, You, Us

By Kira King

Me,
I am me,
It’s just who I am,
My personality.

You,
You are you.
Your personality,
Don’t worry what anyone thinks of you,
It’s just who you are.

Us,
We are us,
Together as one,
Friends for life.

Weather

By Asha Dhillon

   Snow is a white blanket,
covering the ground surface
Children love snow and play
The ground turns to ice where the snow once lay.
Rain is just rain
Rain is just a pain
Rain makes you wet
But rain does not set
Pitter-patter
Drip Drops
The rain never stops
The sun is the sun
It is so fun
The warmth that comes through
Is as scorching as a hot oven
